There are lots of things to do in south of India.South India in a nutshellSouth India is a conglomeration of 4 states and 3 union territories, with 4 major rivers running through them. Most South Indians are linguists and speak more than 1 Indian language, while English is the common business language in cities. The majority of the people follow Hinduism, the rest are followers of Islam and Christianity, with a smattering of other religions, including Judaism. The state of Kerala is home to one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world who arrived at the Malabar Coast during the time of King Solomon. South India is blessed with rich flora and fauna in the eastern and western ghats, with many wildlife sanctuaries. It has several beautiful beaches, some of which are relatively unknown. Historically, South India has an impressive cultural heritage and is home to 38 approved World Heritage sites in India. It has many significant temples which were built by the Hoysala, Chola and Chalukya dynasties of kings. South India boasts of having 2 styles of rock architecture, the pure Dravida style of Tamil Nadu and the Vesara style (Karnataka Dravida style) present in Karnataka. The monuments of Hampi, the palaces of Mysore and Bengaluru, the Charminar of Hyderabad, the Meenakshi temple of Madurai, Sravanabelagola, Belur, Halebidu, Tanjore and other cultural delights are frequented by millions of tourists every year. South India is also well known for its rapid development in economy, infrastructure, information and technology. The traditional South Indian clothing for women is a saree, usually with very colourful designs. The men wear a dhoti, which could be either white or colourful, with typical South Indian patterns or designs. However, due to the modernisation of India, most of the population wear more casual clothing and have also adopted the Western style of clothing, especially in cities.Rice is the staple diet, while fish is an integral component of coastal areas like the state of Kerala and the city of Mangalore, which are known for their seafood. Coconut is an important ingredient in Kerala and some parts of Karnataka, whereas Andhra Pradesh s cuisine is characterised by pickles and spicy curries. The famous Hyderabadi cuisine is a legacy of the Moghul kings and its rich and biriyani is mouth-watering. Rice preparations of Dosa, Idli, Pundi, Appam and Uttapam are popular throughout the region. There are large coffee estates in southern Karnataka, parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where aromatic South Indian coffee is a preferred drink and it

These schools try to provide the best possible education to the children of tuk-tuk (autorickshaw) drivers, house and office maids, unskilled laborers and also encompassing the children of every-day Rajasthani Indian with average facilities. The teachers of the school are capable of translating Basic English. We need your support to teach young children English. They will all be excited to see you and exceptionally welcoming, due partly to the natural and genuine friendliness of all Rajasthanis, especially children, but also the fact that you will be one of the few westerners they have metThe teaching program is informal, same as kindergartens worldwide, and the children will want to play with you more than be taught in a formal sense. Your help and assistance will help the kids grow in their confidence and learn better English which will help them in many ways in the future. The kindergarten school functions from 08:00 to 12:00. — Community Outreach School : Our Community Outreach program is located in Udaipur. Around the community, most of the children attend school and some of them due to various difficulties some children stay back at the school itself at the boarding facility available at the school. These schools concentrate mainly on vernacular language thus the children are not well equipped with standard English due to this reason the students need training in written and spoken English language as well as awareness on hygienic habits, environmental awareness, behavioral skills, and much more. — At the community outreach center, there are about 30 children attending the program. The children are all girls between the age of 10 to 16 years. These children live at the hostel facility available at the school as they come from very far off villages. Most of their families live in far-off under-developed villages having odd jobs for their living and earn very little to support their families and to provide education for their little ones.Assist in teaching young, energetic and enthusiastic girls of the local community by helping with their everyday homework. These classes are held in the evenings after regular school hours and apart from conventional teaching methods, games and other activities may be used to teach the children. The project starts from 16:00 to 18:00.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

ICYE Brazil. BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND MAIN AIMS : Founded in 1996 by a group of women from the Vila Pinto community led by Marli Medeiros, who decided to unite to transform the conditions they were submitted to live in and seek alternative solutions that would ensure them freedom and quality of life. Marli and her family endured the poverty and violence of Vila Pinto, which was dominated by drug traffickers, but it was the lack of opportunities available to the children in the community that spurred Marli to action. I could see that the women were forced to work as drug mules and complained about the violence of the men, It was then that she decided to stand her ground and fight. Problem was finding a legal way of earning money that also fostered community spirit. Marli began organizing meetings to discuss the state of affairs in the community. I believed that we could reduce the negative factors that existed in Vila Pinto through some type of collective action, she recalls. The residents had to make money somehow, whether it was by begging, drug trafficking or petty theft. The problem was finding a legal way of earning money that also fostered community spirit. She found a 2,500-sq.m site near a low-income housing project, right in the middle of Vila Pinto.work MAIN ACTIVITIES : Today CEA administers several projects. The Screening Center of Vila Pinto (CTVP) which has 65 members who make their living from the separation and sale of recyclable materials. The James Kulisz Cultural Center, serving children and adolescents, offering various courses like computer science, sewing, and theater and film library. The Infant School Grandma Belinha serves 120 children from birth to six years. VOLUNTEER TASKS : Volunteers will grow to become a part of the Vila Pinto community as they work side by side with the locals and Marli herself at the waste screening center, CEJAK and the Vovo Bellinha Day care center. Work will consist of waste separation at CTVP as well as other activities to be determined such as: maintaining the community garden with the CEJAK teens, there may be possibilities for painting and crafting toys out of recyclable materials for the day care, developing activities for the children and, time permitting, some much-needed repairs on community facilities.

SITUATION

Welcome to Cartagena City, once known as Cartagena de Indias, it continues to be a majestic shining gem among the other jewels of the Caribbean coast. As the town grew in importance because of the trade riches passing through its port, the town erected a barricade of stone walls. Originally used for protection, the walls engulfing the old city add to its distinctive character and old-world charm.Known for its striking architecture, Cartagena is a city full of life and vibrancy. When you stroll through its streets you feel as though you are moving through a painting, where the sights and sounds of the city have come to life.Being able to speak some Spanish is definitely a plus, but even if you are a novice to the language, a few gestures and a sense of adventure with attempting what you have learned, will be helpful as you communicate with locals. Don t forget that smiles are universal and they will likely help get you whatever you need.
