TRAVAIL

L Association Marocaine pour la Sauvegarde des Enfants non-Integres (AMSEI) a ouvert un centre a Rabat appele Al Basma qui accueille les jeunes de 4 a 20 ans pendant la journee. Il leur propose des activites et prend en charge leurs besoins medicaux. L AMSEI a aussi mis en place des classes integrees en partenariat avec les ecoles publiques pendant lesquelles elle peut apporter un soutien individuel aux jeunes qui sont en mesure de suivre des cours reguliers. Les activites concretes de l association sont l organisation d activites educatives, sportives, artistiques, manuelles et culturelles avec les enfants; la realisation des conseils de vie et des rendez-vous reguliers avec les familles pour orienter les enfants vers des activites adaptees ; l apport d un soutien et d un suivi medical aux enfants. Les jeunes sont repartis en 4 groupes selon leur age (4-7 ans, 8-11 ans, 12-16 ans, 17-20 ans) pour leur proposer des activites adaptees. Le groupe des plus jeunes aborde des thematiques telles que le developpement personnel, la socialisation et l integration scolaire, tandis que le groupe des plus ages s interesse davantage aux questions du developpement d activites lucratives et d integration socio-professionnelle. Avec les enfants qui souffrent de handicaps lourds et cumules, l accent est mis sur le developpement de leurs competences sensorielles et de leurs capacites d autonomie et de socialisation.En tant que volontaire, vous prendrez soin des enfants et les accompagnerez dans leurs activites quotidiennes. Vous assisterez la realisation d activites de loisir (educatives, sportives, artistiques). Vous aiderez a la cuisine. Vous ferez du soutien scolaire en faisant appel a des techniques creatives (des jeux, des chansons). Si vous avez des connaissances ou des interets pour cela, vous pourrez assister le personnel paramedical. Une approche flexible du travail est necessaire, vous devez etre pret a realiser des taches multiples. Vous travaillerez environ 6 heures par jours du lundi au vendredi.

TRAVAIL

As one of the world s poorest countries, Nepal faces many challenges to public health. In the rural communities, the government offers few facilities to support the health of its people. Illiterate, many people do not have the means to change their health, sanitation and hygiene practices and remain unaware of the major health risks and how to minimize them. Nepal also lacks efficient mental health services with limited diagnostic, treatment and availability of human resources to address mental health issues. This project will help promote healthy lifestyle in terms of physical and mental being.Daily Activities- Facilitate workshops on healthy living, such as foods, diet and nutrition.- Reach out to different groups of children and women to facilitate dance sessions or meditation classes.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living conditions at the host family/ hostel are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area but have separate sleeping rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag. The food will be provided in Nepali standard i.e. dal Bhat (rice, lentil soup, vegetables, pickle, eggs).

SITUATION

VIN works in three different districts Kathmandu, Nuwakot, and Okhaldhunga are the three districts where VIN works. If you arrive early or wish to stay in Nepal after your volunteer period, VIN offers weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot at reasonable prices.

En tant que volontaire, votre role principal sera d aider les therapeutes en preparant et organisant des activites avec les enfants comme des jeux, des chansons, des activites manuelles ou simplement les ecouter et leur apporter de l attention. Vous aiderez aussi les membres de l association au moment du dejeuner. Vous pourrez etre amenes a aider a l organisation de petites actons hors de l hopital. Cette association fait egalement un effort de soins medicaux pour les refugies. Une approche flexible du travail est necessaire, vous devez etre pret a realiser des taches multiples.

Vous aurez ainsi la chance de decouvrir le mode de vie d une famille locale qui pourra aussi vous faire rencontrer du monde et vous partager ses habitudes. The Medium and Long-Term Volunteer Program (MLTV program) is an International Volunteer Exchange program that is run and managed by Uganda Pioneers Association (UPA) through collaboration, partnerships and affiliation to credible voluntary service organizations. UPA has hosted international volunteers since its inception in 1989 and upholds volunteer exchange and intercultural cooperation as tools for promotion of community based development, intercultural understanding and youth participation.The objectives of the MLTV program are to: I Contribute to the development of community based social services I Promote and improve natural and acquired skills useful to the community I Promote and exchange cultures in order to create friendship and mutual understandingI Encourage the youth as dynamic age group to take leading roles in developmentUPA partners with organisations/institutions and projects that aim at the development of the local communities. These projects include; schools (primary and secondary), orphanages, hospitals, children with special needs and working with community based organisations and Non-Government Organisations.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

UPA has a guesthouse for the international volunteers that can accommodate up to 18 volunteers at a time. The volunteers have to share rooms with others. The guesthouse has basic facilities including a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and latrines. Apart from the guesthouse you can choose to stay with a host family. The host families are either in the same area with the guesthouse and the UPA office or can be chosen close to your project. Staying with a host family gives you the chance to get in touch with the Ugandan cultures on a different level than staying in the guesthouse among other international volunteers, even though the standard of living might be more basic than in the guesthouse.

SITUATION

Uganda is a beautiful country gifted by nature. Volunteers may take time off on weekends or after the project to visit National parks (lions, elephants, giraffes, kobs, buffalos etc), go white water rafting, visit the mountain gorillas and enjoy the Ugandan sun. Participants are required to pay a participation fee of Euro 500 (five hundred Euros) on arrival for a period of 1- 3months and 80 Euros (eighty Euros) in advance for each additional month/s. TRAVAIL

Each year in Nepal an estimated 10,000-15,000 girls are trafficked across the border to be sold into Indian brothels or forced to become domestic servants, beggars, factory workers, or other workers. This project aims to prevent the trafficking of girls from Nepal, within the country oroutside. Many young girls, women are vulnerable totrafficking due to a lack of education among the people. The volunteer will educatethe students, people at the schools, and community.How you can help- Prepare resources (leaflet, pamphlet, brochures etc.) on trafficking prevention- Impart awareness on women s trafficking prevention at the schools, community.- Provide various classes on women s right, life skills as per necessity.- Conduct awareness campaign projects in the community.

TRAVAIL

L Hadaf est un centre socio-professionnel associatif situe a Rabat et concu pour les jeunes presentant des troubles mentaux legers, qu ils aient ete prealablement suivis par un institut medico-pedagogique ou non. L objectif du centre et d offrir a ces jeunes un environnement favorable a leur developpement personnel et a leur integration professionnelle. Il travaille egalement en etroite collaboration avec les familles des jeunes et les professionnels et leur offre un espace de partage et d echange. Le centre accueille aujourd hui environ 80 jeunes. Son personnel est quant a lui compose d une vingtaine de personnes. Pour favoriser l insertion professionnelle des jeunes, le centre met en place un suivi individualise de chaque jeune et propose des ateliers artistiques et des formations professionnelles notamment en restauration. Des expositions et ventes de produits crees par les jeunes sont realisees regulierement. Les profits de ces ventes servent a developper les propositions du centre. En tant que volontaire, vous participerez au fonctionnement quotidien du centre et a la realisation d activites de loisirs et d ateliers. Vous pouvez demander a travailler sur n importe laquelle des activites proposees par le centre. Si vous avez des connaissances ou interets en la matiere, vous pourrez assister le personnel paramedical. Une approche flexible du travail est necessaire, vous devez etre pret a realiser des taches multiples. Vous travaillerez entre 4 et 8 heures par jour du lundi au vendredi.

In an educational environment, mathematics and science subjects has been often referred to be a bridge of success or failure for high school graduation and career. It is a fact that mathematics and Science subjects has become a pump rather than filter in the pipeline of education system. Inadequate mathematics and science skills and understanding affects ones ability to make critically important educational, life, and career decisions.The results of National examinations still informing poor performance of students in Mathematics and science subjects. Some of the factors which has been underlined to contribute to this situation includes; lack of interest among the students, inadequate number of teachers, teaching aide/facilities etc. Mathematics and science project is an initiative aiming to respond to some of outlined challenges in cooperation with local community schools, education centers and other education stakeholders hence contribute to better results among the students for their betterfuture.Mathematics and Science project volunteers are expected to be teaching assistance and not replacing existingteachers in the respective institutions. . In doing so she/he is expected to perform the following tasks.- To plan lessons in advance- To create learning scenarios that catches the interest of the students- To stimulate the students desire to learn Mathematics and or Science subjects- To assign homework to ensure that the mathematics and or Science subjects taught that day was understood- To conduct small groups sessions or one to one sessions when necessary- To back track-track math education for some students in order for them to understand current lessons- To give tests and amp; examinations that meets the standard qualification for the mathematics and or Science subjects curriculum at the school.

Volunteers will be accommodated in the host families located in an eco-village. There are standard houses with three bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The houses are surrounded by nature and green vegetation. Basic accommodation facilities will be provided, and you should expect to share room with either host family members or other volunteers from the same or other projects. Depending on the availability of host families; volunteers shall expect to stay as wellat the Youth accommodation in the community. Three meals will be provided to the volunteers either at the accommodation or work placement. Vegetarian meals will be available.

Le centre d invalidite et de solidarite Annour est base a Rabat. Son objectif est de fournir un environnnement favorable au developpement personnel et a l insertion professionnelle des personnes souffrant d un handicap mental. En tant que volontaire, vous participerez a l organisation des activites de loisir pour les enfants et les jeunes handicapes, vous les accompagnerez dans leurs activites quotidiennes, vous motiverez les jeunes a participer aux differentes activites. Vous pourrez fournir un soutien linguistique de base : le centre est ouvert aux suggestions des volontaires (anglais, francais, espagnol). Tous les cours seront de niveaux tres elementaire. Vous pourrez prendre part aux activites musicales et artistiques et aux activites de loisir comme le sport, qui se deroulent parfois en dehors du centre. D autres activites peuvent etre developpees. Vous travaillerez avec les responsables du centre, les enseignants et les animateurs qui s occupent des personnes handicapees mentales. Vous serez personnellement accompagne par l equipe et par un tuteur special. Ainsi, vous partagerez le quotidien de ces enfants et de ces jeunes et serez en contact avec les volontaires nationaux et les travailleurs sociaux du centre ce qui facilitera votre insertion dans la communaute locale. Une approche flexible du travail est necessaire, vous devez etre pret a realiser des taches multiples.

Vous serez loges et nourris en famille d accueil. CTL is placing international volunteers in various projects working with children and young people across the country such as: – Afterschool clubs and Playschools We collaborate with community-oriented playschool playschools and homework clubs around the country. Durring the summer, volunteers can help with the summer camps. Host Family accomodation:Staying with a host family allows participants to be fully immersed within the Irish culture. CTL has developed a network of host communities in different part of the country. Host communities are managed by CTL s local coordinators who deal with local families. Every host family goes through a thorough selection process, we make sure our participants are placed with welcoming and supportive hosts. Host families comes in different shapes and sizes: e.g. parents and children with a spare room, a single host mother, or a retired couple. Families give participants an instant support system and help them learn the local language and culture. Most host family offer participants generally their own single room. On occasion participants might have to share a bedroom with another participant from the same gender.

SITUATION

Free Time and ExcursionsProjects are located in different areas of the country, mainly in small and medium towns.Ireland is a wonderful place to visit. From vibrant, exciting cities like Dublin, Cork or Galway or Belfast to breath-taking landscapes along the Wild Atlantic Way. Attractions include the world-famous sceneries of Connemara and West Cork, the ring of Kerry, the cliffs of Moher, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin etc. There is also a multitude of less touristic but equally interesting places to visit and activities to do such as whale watching in county Cork CTL staff will give participants further information on visits and excursions during their orientation and in the welcome pack.

General Selection Criteria:- Participants must be over 18 years old when programme starts- Mature, flexible and adaptable personality to be assessed by sending organisation during an interview- Intermediate level of English is required, to be assessed by sending organisation- Participants must have a comprehensive travel and health insurance- Most placements require a criminal background check- Dietary requirements and other special needs must be disclosed to CTL at the beginning of the application process – Current and past mental health issues, emotional/eating/attention disorder (e.g. depression, anxiety, anorexia, and attention deficit disorders) must be disclosed to CTL at the beginning of the application process – All applications are considered on a case by case basis, taking into account the needs and wellbeing of both the applicant and the host project in Ireland. Placements can only be confirmed when an appropriate match can be made. On occasion, CTL will request to do a video call with applicant. With a population of approximately 64,000 inhabitants, the community is situated in a beautiful area still surrounded by nature. Chamazi is accessible by both public and private transport. Medium term volunteer projects are unique program that connects people from around the world with local projects and communities in Tanzania. The program offers a powerful vision built on our belief that volunteers have a vital role to play in development and in building a more just and sustainable world society. Medium term Volunteer (MTV) projects offer an opportunity to work as a volunteer, experience different cultures, meet people from different countries, learn new or improve skills, take part in peace making and hands-on on various community based development projects. MTV Volunteer position at UVIKIUTA is an exceptional option for people to gain experience in service projects and an increased understanding in world issues.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers will be accommodated in the host families located in an eco-village. There are standard houses with threebedrooms, living room and kitchen. The houses are surrounded by nature and green vegetation. Basic accommodationfacilities will be provided, and you should expect to share room with either host family members or other volunteersfrom the same or other projects. Depending on the availability of host families; volunteers shall expect to stay as wellat the Youth accommodation in the community. Three meals will be provided to the volunteers either at theaccommodation or work placement. Vegetarian meals will be available

SITUATION

Jozani forest National Park, Blue safaris swimming, tour to small islands, variety of water sports, spice tour among many other options.- Near Dar es Salam possibilities could be; wildlife safari trips, Marine excursions (Mingoyo Islands) eco andcultural tourism activities, Bagamoyo or Kilwa, Dar es Salaam tour (Beach, Museums, and Market Sundays and public holidays are free for volunteers to do their personal activities including exploring what the region offer in terms of cultural and natural attractions. Volunteers are welcomed and live as part of a household where they help with the running of the home they also enjoy. Weekends and evenings are filled with social and vocational opportunities. LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers live together family- style in homes lead by long term volunteers in the community. Each person has their own bedroom. All meals, and use of amenities (computer, wifi, toiletries, house phone, workshops) is included. We can insure drivers over 21 with a clean driving record to use our vehicles.

SITUATION

We live in the middle of a conservation area with hiking and biking trails, waterfalls and a pristine river to can and kayak. Our friendly small town offers shopping, coffee shops, parks, community theater, swimming pool, gym, basic amenities, and local festivals. Museums, concerts, theaters and events can be accessed an hour away in Minneapolis/St Paul. While there is no public transport, people over 21 with a clear driving record can often drive our vehicles and those who cant are offered rides and use of bikes for shorter distances. We make it possible for volunteers to camp, visit Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, (4-7 hours away) and Lake Superior depending on their interest and enjoy connecting them to opportunities see more of the USA in and outside the tourist areas. Year-long volunteers can expect to have about 3 weeks of vacation offered through the year.

TRAVAIL

Youth Entrepreneurship Program is one of the major projects of Youth Empowerment project of VIN. The main objective of this program is to train young people of Nepal to become independent, support, and run smallbusiness of their own by utilizing local resources with calculated risk. According to the need of local community, we have to conduct workshop for business developmentplan as well as specific income-generating training like plumbing, electricwiring, beautician, handicraft, organic farming, etc.Daily Activities- Conduct research to identify scope of entrepreneurship at local community.- Hold workshops on development of business plan including marketing plans, financial planning, record keeping and business registration.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living conditions at the host family/ hostel are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area but have separate sleeping rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag. The food will be provided in Nepali standard i.e. dal Bhat (rice, lentil soup, vegetables, pickle, eggs).

SITUATION

VIN works in three different districts Kathmandu, Nuwakot, and Okhaldhunga are the three districts where VIN works. If you arrive early or wish to stay in Nepal after your volunteer period, VIN offers weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot at reasonable prices.

Rabat est une ville culturelle chargee d histoire : vous pourrez decouvrir les nombreux chefs-d oeuvre qui decorent ses rues et ses places. LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

ResidentialResidential accommodation means that the participants are hosted in the project facilities. They are generally sharing the facilities with other international volunteers and can either have a single room or share a bedroom with other volunteers from the same gender. Volunteers find it enjoyable to share accommodations with likeminded people and they generally end up doing activities together during their free time.Food is included in the programme.

SITUATION

Ireland is a wonderful place to visit. From vibrant, exciting cities like Dublin, Cork or Galway or Belfast to breath-taking landscapes along the Wild Atlantic Way. Attractions include the world-famous sceneries of Connemara and West Cork, the ring of Kerry, the cliffs of Moher, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin etc. There is also a multitude of less touristic but equally interesting places to visit and activities to do such as whale watching in county Cork CTL staff will give participants further information on visits and excursions during their orientation and in the welcome pack.

General Selection Criteria: – Participants must be over 18 years old when programme starts – Mature, flexible and adaptable personality to be assessed by sending organisation during an interview – Intermediate level of English is required – Participants must have a comprehensive travel and health insurance – Most placements require a criminal background check – Dietary requirements and other special needs must be disclosed to CTL at the beginning of the application process – Current and past mental health issues, emotional/eating/attention disorder (e.g. depression, anxiety, anorexia, and attention deficit disorders) must be disclosed to CTL at the beginning of the application process – All applications are considered on a case by case basis, taking into account the needs and well-being of both the applicant and the host project in Ireland. Placements can only be confirmed when an appropriate match can be made. On occasion, CTL will request to do a video call with applicant. From time to time it will be necessary to tell the applicant that an appropriate placement is not available for them.
