THE PROJECT: Child centers are social facilities that care for children in groups and they have different sponsors, including schools, churches, social service agencies or independent owners. Many parents choose center-based care because they believe the presence of multiple caregivers, larger groups of children, and state inspections make them both safer and more dependable. Some parents also consider these types of centers to be a better learning environment for their children.
