In an educational environment, mathematics and science subjects has been often referred to be a bridge of success or failure for high school graduation and career. It is a fact that mathematics and Science subjects has become a pump rather than filter in the pipeline of education system. Inadequate mathematics and science skills and understanding affects ones ability to make critically important educational, life, and career decisions.The results of National examinations still informing poor performance of students in Mathematics and science subjects. Some of the factors which has been underlined to contribute to this situation includes; lack of interest among the students, inadequate number of teachers, teaching aide/facilities etc. Mathematics and science project is an initiative aiming to respond to some of outlined challenges in cooperation with local community schools, education centers and other education stakeholders hence contribute to better results among the students for their better future.

TRAVAIL

Mathematics and Science project volunteers are expected to be teaching assistance and not replacing existing teachers in the respective institutions. . In doing so she/he is expected to perform the following tasks.i)To plan lessons in advanceii)To create learning scenarios that catches the interest of the students iii)To stimulate the students desire to learn Mathematics and or Science subjectsiv)To assign homework to ensure that the mathematics and or Science subjects taught that day was understoodv)To conduct small groups sessions or one to one sessions when necessary vi)To back track-track math education for some students in order for them to understand current lessonsvii)To give tests and amp; examinations that meets the standard qualification for the mathematics and or Science subjects curriculum at the school.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers will be accommodated in the host families located in an eco-village. There are standard houses with three bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The houses are surrounded by nature and green vegetation. Basic accommodation facilities will be provided, and you should expect to share room with either host family members or other volunteers from the same or other projects. Depending on the availability of host families; volunteers shall expect to stay as well at the Youth accommodation in the community.Three meals will be provided to the volunteers either at the accommodation or work placement. Vegetarian meals will be available.

SITUATION

Sundays and public holidays will be free for volunteers to do their personal activities including exploring what the region offer in terms of cultural and natural attractions. Possibilities are:-i)Exploring Zanzibar historical, natural and cultural sites. These include museums, local markets, stone town etc. Enjoy wildlife and marine life. Jozani forest National Park, Blue safaris swimming, tour to small islands, variety of water sports, spice tour among many other options.ii)Near Dar es Salam possibilities could be; wildlife safari trips, Marine excursions (Mingoyo Islands) eco and cultural tourism activities, Bagamoyo or Kilwa, Dar es Salaam tour (Beach, Museums, and Markets).

It is believed that the worlds population recently passed more than 7 billion people, an incredible number to measure. In Tanzania, Africa as well around the world many people still barely meet anyone outside of a small circle of family, friends and community while even more never venture beyond the culture in which they were raised. Cultural exposure project is aiming to serve as an important means of introducing people around the world to realities they might not normally be exposed to. Many barriers have begun to fall between people around the world, with near-instantaneous communication allowing people on opposite sides of the world to meaningfully interact. Cultural exposure project encourage people from all walks of life to appreciate and understand distinct cultures and play a key role in creating productive dialogue across the world.

TRAVAIL

The major aspect of this project will be focusing on community life styles. Volunteers and Community members will have an opportunity to experience and exchange both work and leisure behavior patents in various activities, attitudes, interest, opinions and values. This provide an opportunity to reflect on each involved persons self-image or self-concept, the way they see themselves and believe and believe they are seen by other others. This is expected to be a composite of motivation, needs and wants influenced by factors such as culture, family, reference groups and social classes. In realization of the above objective; Volunteers will join series of activities that will include:-i)Community economic Life ( I do what they do)Volunteers will participate in the daily of the community members. This will include working in a small businesses, farming, hand craft, Arts, taking care of animals and other daily economic activities of the community members.ii)Social-Cultural lifeVolunteers will participate in various social aspects of community life including traditional medicine and health care (Learning and experience), Rituals: Visiting ritual sites, learning and understanding, Ceremonies: Participating in wedding, initiation and other traditional and religious ceremonies available during that time.iii)Language exchangeThis will include; Intensive Kiswahili Language (1-2 Hours every day), Optional foreign Language teaching Class (1 hour per day preferably English or French).iv)Knowledge exchangeKnowledge exchange will include Intergenerational exchange: age groups knowledge and experience sharing events, Images of my (Self, Culture, Country etc.) Vs Others, Community Exhibitions: Sharing various arts, music food etc.

Cerebral Palsy is usually caused by brain damage that occurs before or during a child s birth, or during the first few years of life. Kids and teens with CP may have learning disabilities, visual impairments, hearing problems, speech problems, drooling issues, and behavior problems. CP kids needs special attention and care and integration to education social life. The project is working towards recognizing the reality of these kids and proving necessary support.

Ayotlcalli organization have the aim to contribute to the recovery and conservation of 3 species of sea turtles on the verge of extinction that visit Ixtapa i Zihuatanejo (Guerrero): Golfina Turtle (Olive Lepidochelys), Blackish Turtle (Chelonia Agassizi) and Lute Turtle (Dermochelys Coracea).

TRAVAIL

The turtles will be protected by means of night vigilance in order to avoid the plunder of nests and the slaughter of the mother turtles as well as by means of environmental education for the sustainability and conservation of the natural resources in the zone of influence.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

ACCOMMODATION: The project provides a wide zone to camp which consists of baths, a kitchen, and a place to wash your clothes.FOOD: Meals will be prepared by the volunteers. The camp provides everything you need to cook and prepare food.

Tateya Farm has 40 members, they have several backgrounds. LI-MK Maki is one of brunch in KG group.

TRAVAIL

Volunteer will help their organic farming (weeding in rice and vegetable fields, planting vegetables, taking care of goats and chicken, etc.) and also making miso and soy-sauce, wooden toy, weaving and dyeing cloths etc. Be ready to work for quite a long time (05:30-18:00 with some brakes) and hard.

Honjo area in Awara city is famous for Fujino Genkuro, who is benefactor of Lu Xun to learn medical science in Japan. This group try to make international community space in this area and organize cross-cultural understanding programs for children. It is new project from 2016. Local host expect to communicate with local host.

TRAVAIL

Volunteers will 1) organizing the workshop or class for children about cross-cultural understanding, 2) organizing English classes for local elder, 3) playing with local student after school and 4) maintaining the shrine forest.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers stay in the traditional house. Please bring your sleeping bag. Meals will be cooked by volunteers. There is Wi-Fi, toilet, simple shower room and kitchen.

About 200 km north east of Osaka. Awara city is an agricultural city and famous for hot spring. It is close to Tojinbo (high cliffs, a natural treasure)

Maki Farm has 5-10 members and is located in a very isolated area (no accessible for cars and we have to walk 4 km in the mountains), so once it became an abandon village in 1970s. Tateya is one branch of KG.

TRAVAIL

Volunteer will help their organic farming (weeding in rice and vegetable fields, planting vegetables, taking care of goats and hens, etc.) and also carry the things from the town, renovate the trails, help their house work, etc. Be ready to work for quite a long time (05:30-18:00 with some brakes) and tough.

Its a cooperative community where people with various backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who wants to learn farming, etc. They have five communities in Tokyo, Nagano and Hokkaido and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way with utilizing Bacterium. Their cheese got the 1st prize in the national contest

TRAVAIL

1) Agricultural works : planting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, to make organic vegetables, taking care of animals, milk processing, etc.) 2) House works : cooking and cleanings along with members in the community.3) Handcrafts and textiles : making some handcrafts and textiles for sale to the locals.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Share the rooms in the facility which Shintoku Farm members live in.Cooking with the members by turn (vegetarian is possible).

Le programme ICYE, dont nous sommes le comite national en France, offre aux jeunes la possibilite de participer a un programme d echange et d apprentissage interculturel pendant 6 mois ou un an. Le projet permet de s immerger dans une culture differente de la sienne et a comme vocation de repondre aux besoins educatifs et sociaux des jeunes d aujourd hui. En travaillant comme benevole international, le volontaire est sensibilise aux differences sociales et culturelles. Ce programme n exige aucune qualification ou autre condition particuliere, si ce n est une forte motivation, de l enthousiasme et une annee de disponibilite. TRAVAIL

Il existe plusieurs projets long-terme en Nouvelle Zelande. La majorite sont des projets sociaux avec des enfants et/ou dans l animation. Pour certains de ces projets, le travail se fait avec des enfants handicapes. Les projets sont multiples et les missions concernent l aide aux enseignants, aide a la preparation des repas, s occuper des personnes, les travaux manuels et la realisation d activites, aide a la structure au quotidien, etc. Pour les projets d animation il s agit d organiser des activites sportives ou d aventures, de gerer un camps de vacances, etc. Il existe egalement un projet lie a l environnement au sein d un parc aquatique qui oeuvre pour la protection des especes en danger.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Durant leur volontariat les participants sont nourris et loges soit dans le projet d accueil soit en famille. De plus, ils recoivent environ 59euro d argent de poche par mois.

Le programme ICYE, dont nous sommes le comite national en France, offre aux jeunes la possibilite de participer a un programme d echange et d apprentissage interculturel pendant 6 mois ou un an. Le projet permet de s immerger dans une culture differente de la sienne et a comme vocation de repondre aux besoins educatifs et sociaux des jeunes d aujourd hui. En travaillant comme benevole international, le volontaire est sensibilise aux differences sociales et culturelles. Il apprend egalement a s adapter, gagne en autonomie, developpe confiance en lui et capacite a resoudre les problemes. Ce programme n exige aucune qualification ou autre condition particuliere, si ce n est une forte motivation, de l enthousiasme et une annee de disponibilite. Dans le cadre des projets auxquels ils participent, les jeunes apprennent a assumer des responsabilites et a s impliquer dans une equipe dans les domaines suivants : social, socio medical, culturel, environnemental ou educatif. Cette experience doit permettre aux jeunes de developper leurs aptitudes non seulement sur les plans personnel et social, mais egalement sur celui professionnel. TRAVAIL

Il existe plusieurs projets long-terme en Nouvelle Zelande. La majorite sont des projets sociaux avec des enfants et/ou dans l animation. Pour certains de ces projets, le travail se fait avec des enfants handicapes. Les projets sont multiples et les missions concernent l aide aux enseignants, aide a la preparation des repas, s occuper des personnes, les travaux manuels et la realisation d activites, aide a la structure au quotidien, etc. Pour les projets d animation il s agit d organiser des activites sportives ou d aventures, de gerer un camps de vacances, etc. Il existe egalement un projet lie a l environnement au sein d un parc aquatique qui oeuvre pour la protection des especes en danger.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Durant leur volontariat les participants sont nourris et loges soit dans le projet d accueil soit en famille. De plus, ils recoivent environ 59euro d argent de poche par mois.

SITUATION

PARTENAIRE

This project has been organized with Sansonjuku, founded in 1994, maintaining forest and step rice paddies through the projects which involves people from the city and local. They started 80-days of international workcamp with NICE since 2008 to make the footpath and maintain the forest. But on July 2012, the hardest rain ever attacked around this area. After that it had serious damages by flood. Their aim is to activate the community and sustain the program with young people from the world to conserve this rich nature and revival this area

TRAVAIL

Volunteers will work on various types of activity related to agriculture such as 1) cultivating rice (Ex. rice planting, cutting grass in terraced rice fields (from May to Nov.)), 2) helping local farm (green tea(May and Oct.), rice and vegetable(from May to Nov.), etc.), 3) supporting Sansonjuku s event(Ex. promotion, preparation, supporting staffs, communicating with participants, clean up).

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Egao no mori center (It was Kasahara-higashi elementary school until 2004). Volunteers cook for themselves.

Southern part of the Fukuoka prefecture. The Yame city is 482.53 km2. There are so many tee trees and terraced paddy fields.

There is a kind of problem that the children who live in countryside face to have few opportunity to communicate with foreign people compared with city because of the lack of number of foreigners. They want to change the situation and activate both of children and the situation of education for cultural exchange through having such a local activities with volunteers.

TRAVAIL

Visiting the local primary school and kindergarten and communicating with local students. Volunteer will prepare for some activities and lesson for children. For example, helping their homework, discuss about some game which is related with cultural exchange for them.

Organized together with is aeuroAkame no SATOYAMA wo Sodateru Kaiaeuro (ASSK), a local environmental NPO, since 1998. In an area between Osaka and Nagoya, there were plans for a golf course and disposal of industrial garbage, but the local community has stopped them with the aeuroWoods Trustaeuro movement. The group was formed in 1996 to collect donations to buy and protect the land, to build an eco-resort to enjoy nature, to maintain forests, to create a pond for dragonflies, etc.

TRAVAIL

Voluteer will do a various working to care of the forest such as cutting trees and amp; branches, maintaining the footpaths etc.aeuro We will take care and harvesting mushrooms and chestnuts. We also support to organize some environmental events (e.g., to collect edible wild plants, nature observation) in their field.

Mentally disabled people (ex. cannot go to school or work, social withdrawal etc.) can adjust daily rhythm and find their own skills in aeurooeyou-enaeuro. For example, they make herbs and vegetables in the garden and make accessories, miscellaneous goods, antique furniture etc. in the facility. They do not have enough opportunity to communicate with various people (Foreigners etc.). Volunteers are excepted to consider their feelings and do activities together. Organized together with E-Wasa (EW) from 2015. It means good Japanese tea and is a local NPO created in 2012 to organize agricultural events, support people who live in Wazuka as new tea farmers. Short term workcamps are hosted every year since 2001 by other local group. One of tea farmers who was camp leader in the workcamp in Wazuka was fascinated, so became a tea farmer here. Then, he established EW for future of Wazuka. Wazuka is famous for green tea (called Uji-cha, but they want to PR as Wazuka-cha), but has been facing depopulation, lack of workers and aging society since most of youth leave the town. So, the number of abandoned tea farms are increasing and the town is losing its tradition, life, custom and scenery. EW hopes to host vols. to work together to animate the town and revive the tea farms.

TRAVAIL

Voulnteer will do natural tea farming in abandoned tea farms with EW. After reviving farms, EW will provide it for new tea farmer who want to start as new tea farmer. We will join the local events, weekend workcamp too.

They work around Iwami Ginzan, a silver mine, which was registered as a World Heritage site in 2007. The organization wants to care for the forests and prairies. It is important to continue to care for our forests after we have disrupted the ecosystem. Extension of bamboo forests is a serious problem in Japan.

This project is co-organized with Sugiura Farm that engages in organic farming for pursuing food safety and an environmentally friendly society. The owner of the farm is Mr. Sugiura, who is the only one man taking care of 2 hectares of farmland abandoned by local people because they became too old to keep working on the farm. He cultivates, harvests crops, even makes fertilizer and processes the harvest into products. He is working not only for crops, but also for conserving the environment and the beautiful scenery of living fields in the countryside of Japan.

TRAVAIL

Volunteers will engage the process of organic farming with duties such as cultivating vegetables and rice, weeding, harvesting and packing them for shipment.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteers will live by themselves in an old Japanese house. They might stay at local host s house depends on the circumstances.

Il existe plusieurs projets au Mozambique. Ce sont principalement des projets concernant les enfants soit dans le domaine de l education, soit dans celui de la sante. Ces projets s articulent donc autour d enfants pour qui la vie est souvent difficile et les associations sur place demandent aux volontaires accueillis de les accompagner en mettant en place des activites, en accompagnant les professeurs. Le/a volontaire a egalement pour role de proposer aux enfants des activites ludiques. Dans le domaine de la sante, le role du volontaire sera d accompagner les personnes travaillant dans les centres, s occuper des enfants et egalement proposer des activites. Il y a aussi des projets en orphelinat, et le volontaire a pour mission de s occuper des enfants et a aider les personnes a accompagner les enfants lors des placements. D autres projets sont egalement mis en place et consiste a travailler au quotidien avec des personnes dans differents domaines (agriculture, logistique, social ). Le/a volontaire doit soutenir les actions de developpement mises en place, proposer des activites a la population locale, travailler sur le long terme a l elaboration d activites et les ancrer dans la vie quotidienne de la population locale. Le programme de volontariat a long terme ICYE repose sur le principe de la reciprocite : pour tout jeune francais envoye dans un pays de la Federation, Jeunesse et Reconstruction s engage a recevoir un jeune du meme pays en France. Les volontaires s acquittent de frais de participation aupres des comites nationaux ICYE charges de leur envoi afin de permettre la mise en place de leur annee d echange. Le programme ICYE, dont nous sommes le comite national en France, offre aux jeunes la possibilite de participer a un programme d echange et d apprentissage interculturel pendant 6 mois ou un an. Le projet permet de s immerger dans une culture differente de la sienne et a comme vocation de repondre aux besoins educatifs et sociaux des jeunes d aujourd hui. En travaillant comme benevole international, le volontaire est sensibilise aux differences sociales et culturelles. Il apprend egalement a s adapter, gagne en autonomie, developpe confiance en lui et capacite a resoudre les problemes. Ce programme n exige aucune qualification ou autre condition particuliere, si ce n est une forte motivation, de l enthousiasme et une annee de disponibilite. Dans le cadre des projets auxquels ils participent, les jeunes apprennent a assumer des responsabilites et a s impliquer dans une equipe dans les domaines suivants : social, socio medical, culturel, environnemental ou educatif. Cette experience doit permettre aux jeunes de developper leurs aptitudes non seulement sur les plans personnel et social, mais egalement sur celui professionnel. Une experience de vie unique et structurante pour tout jeune souhaitant s engager a l international.

TRAVAIL

Il existe plusieurs projets au Mozambique. Ce sont principalement des projets concernant les enfants soit dans le domaine de l education, soit dans celui de la sante. Ces projets s articulent donc autour d enfants pour qui la vie est souvent difficile et les associations sur place demandent aux volontaires accueillis de les accompagner en mettant en place des activites, en accompagnant les professeurs. Le/a volontaire a egalement pour role de proposer aux enfants des activites ludiques. Dans le domaine de la sante, le role du volontaire sera d accompagner les personnes travaillant dans les centres, s occuper des enfants et egalement proposer des activites. Il y a aussi des projets en orphelinat, et le volontaire a pour mission de s occuper des enfants et a aider les personnes a accompagner les enfants lors des placements. D autres projets sont egalement mis en place et consiste a travailler au quotidien avec des personnes dans differents domaines (agriculture, logistique, social ). Le/a volontaire doit soutenir les actions de developpement mises en place, proposer des activites a la population locale, travailler sur le long terme a l elaboration d activites et les ancrer dans la vie quotidienne de la population locale. LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Durant leur volontariat les participants sont nourris et loges soit dans le projet d accueil soit en famille. Il est preferable d avoir des bases en Anglais ou en Portugais afin de faciliter la communication avec les personnes dont ils partageront le quotidien. De plus, ils recoivent un peu d argent de poche : 20euro par mois.
