Though a lot has been written about women and their contribution towards society but its a pity that their efforts are still monetarily not accounted in our national GDP. A women plays many roles within Indian society; a daughter, a wife, a mother, a home maker and even labourer to earn wages if need arises. RUCHI always recognised womenaeuros efforts and believes that, educating a women educates whole family amp; therefore keeping that in mind RUCHI has initiated voluntary project facilitating cultural exposure and assisting women to overcome these odds.

Quick Overview : In this program, you can support us in our relief efforts to the 2018 earthquake-affected communities of Lombok. Help us in continuing the flow of everyday emergency supplies. Lend a hand by working in our construction program by building temporary makeshift kitchens and sanitation facilities for the inhabitants of this idyllic island. This is a great opportunity to serve the community by responding to their needs in these particularly hard-hit areas. — Program Description Join us in serving this lovely island, Lombok, that was hit hard by the earthquake of July-August, 2018. Hundreds and thousands of people are still displaced from major earthquakes that hit Lombok island then. Families are living under tarpaulin covers at an evacuation center. Like every other person, they too need shelter, water, food and sanitation. We have decided to provide relief to people impacted by the earthquake in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance like cleaning up the debris and making the area livable again for the residents. This program is situated in the west of Lombok. Work in the affected areas by lending a hand to make the day to day lives of the local communities a little easier. Our aid is focused on food and sanitation. You can be of great help in setting up the temporary kitchen and sanitation facilities. SITUATION

Approximately 35 kilometers east of Bali at its closest point, lays the island Lombok (80 km by 70 km) populated by mostly Sasak people. Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali and west of Sumbawa known for picturesque beaches and prime surfing area. The motor-vehicle-free Gili Islands, off Lombok s west coast, offer more beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and a sea turtle hatchery. It differs considerably from its neighbor islands, with lots of wide-open spaces and unspoiled beaches, and much less traffic and pollution. The island s northern area is dominated by the remarkable bulk of Gunung Rinjani, and trekking at least part of the way up is the reason many travelers come to Lombok. Lombok does not receive as much display as its hugely popular neighbor Bali. Nevertheless, many Indonesians prefer vacationing in Lombok over Bali for many reasons: prices for accommodation, food and attractions are often a good deal cheaper, and the island s scenic spots are still unmolested by the gated villa developments, cheap cocktail bars and souvenir shops that have spread across so much of Bali, at least for now.

The majority of the people follow Hinduism, the rest are followers of Islam and Christianity, with a smattering of other religions, including Judaism. The state of Kerala is home to one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world who arrived at the Malabar Coast during the time of King Solomon. South India is blessed with rich flora and fauna in the eastern and western ghats, with many wildlife sanctuaries. It has several beautiful beaches, some of which are relatively unknown. Historically, South India has an impressive cultural heritage and is home to 38 approved World Heritage sites in India. It has many significant temples which were built by the Hoysala, Chola and Chalukya dynasties of kings. South India boasts of having 2 styles of rock architecture, the pure Dravida style of Tamil Nadu and the Vesara style (Karnataka Dravida style) present in Karnataka. The monuments of Hampi, the palaces of Mysore and Bengaluru, the Charminar of Hyderabad, the Meenakshi temple of Madurai, Sravanabelagola, Belur, Halebidu, Tanjore and other cultural delights are frequented by millions of tourists every year. Things may be different from what you are used to or your existing expectations. If you remain open minded then you will be flooded with new opportunities. Broadening the mind is at the heart of inter-cultural exchange. O Flexible: Remaining flexible to ideas, people, situations and encounters is important. While working at social projects, you will be dealing with people i and people are unpredictable. Taking a flexible approach is often the best way to deal with such situations.
