It provides a range ofservices over three floors but it also has an outdoor space for children and visitors alike. Weneed volunteerswho can help us maintain the plants and the gardenwhich includes plantingshrubs, trees and flowers but also a vegetable garden. Yourresponsibility of a Gardener is tomaintain the beauty of plants, outdoor grounds, and trees in a garden. You will perform arange of general maintenance tasks including designing, producing, renewing andpreserving outside spaces.

TRAVAIL

Ntimi Home of Hope orphanage is a non-profit-making community-based organization registered trust formed in the year 2018, operating various charity initiatives in Nairobi including the Ntimi Home of Hope Kenya. The projects initiatives encompass Rescue, Rehabilitation, Reintegration, and Prevention (3RP) to safeguard the rights, safety, well-being, dignity, and development of children. The project targets a population of less fortunate persons, who due to circumstances find themselves in a state of disadvantage. They do this by providing of basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, support, care and protection to vulnerable children including orphans, children from the street, child mothers, neglected, child laborers, children who are terminally ill, parents and children who are living with disabilities, abused and abandoned children among others. Currently, there are 100 Children at the project. At the community level, they take care and support widows and widowers, destitute grandparents, vulnerable youth, displaced populations and victims of floods and other natural disasters.They guide, support and mentor organizations, agencies, individuals and corporate groups around Kenya in constructively reaching out to children in need of care and protection. The rallying call of Saving Childrens Lives is modeled along the key intervention geared towards impacting child protection and development initiatives.

JNMCC Mercy Home is a children s residence housing about 47 children while they go to different schools. The home is supported by the Mercy Homes Foundation which pays school fees for children I secondary schools. It admits school-going children from the age of 6 to 18 years. During the day all the children go to school, therefore activities that involve children are only available during evenings and in school holidays.The home started as family children s home in the year 1998 by the founder with the aim of helping vulnerable children, orphans, neglected and street children. The project provides these children with education, health care, clothing, shelter, protection and guidance and counseling. There are 5 employees to take care of the children. Most of the children are girls.

Amungenti Catholic Parish has a dispensary which is a private health facility that was established by Consolata Missionary Sisters in 1915. The entire Amungenti catholic project is registered as a faith-based organization. The dispensary has been providing treatment to the nearby schools and the locals. The facility started as a grass and mud structure but has been improved to a permanent structure.The facility offers outpatient, laboratory services, HIV counseling and testing, immunization of children under five years, antenatal services, home visiting, school health services and outreach services. The project area has two primary schools and one secondary school and also they practice agriculture. The project hopes to do the following in future: Buying a bus for means of transport, addition of drugs and medical equipment and expansion of the facility.

St Charles Lwanga Children s Home and School and School is a non-governmental organization that was established in 2005 by a foreign catholic priest. The home section hosts children with physical disabilities while the school section is comprised of an Early Childhood and Development Education Center(ECDE), a primary school and a secondary. The aim of the project is to provide children with proper education, shelter and clothing. Additionally, it also helps to provide medical care services to disabled children. There is also a brother s residence house which serves as the main accommodation place for volunteers. The school section consists of 140 children in Primary school and 130 in secondary school section while the disability home has 55 children. Agriculture is also practiced e.g., farming of maize and vegetables, cattle, sheep, and chicken keeping to supplement food availability at the project.

It has eight streams of about 45 students per class. The school draws its strength from the spiritual formation of students, parents and guardians, which supports the students to perform very highly due to the strong discipline levels. The school is located in a serene environment that is conducive for learning. It has produced very high-ranking individuals in the society that include; doctors, politicians, businesspersons, Administrative security officers and other prominent persons in the country.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

You will be living together with 2 other volunteers in an appropriately equipped flat only 5 minutes far from the INEX Slovakia office. This flat is situated near the city center and all the important institutions are around. You can find there laundry facilities as well as fully equipped kitchen. There are two rooms in the flat for the volunteers, so two volunteers will have to share a room.You will receive money for food (150aO) together with the pocket money (150aO) at the beginning of each month and you will manage the money on your own. LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

You will be living together with 2 other volunteers in an appropriately equipped flat only 5 minutes far from the INEX Slovakia office. This flat is situated near the city center and all the important institutions are around. You can find there laundry facilities as well as fully equipped kitchen. There are two rooms in the flat for the volunteers, so two volunteers will have to share a room.You will receive money for food (150aO) together with the pocket money (150aO) at the beginning of each month and you will manage the money on your own. It has a cultural center and ruins of a castle with a beautiful view. The nearby hills provide many opportunities for small excursions in beautiful surroundings with lakes and forests. Budapest the capital of Hungary is about 100 km away from the region. In the town of SzEcsEny all necessary facilities (banks, pharmacy, hospital, supermarkets, restaurants,cafEs, etc) are available. SzEcsEny is directly connected to all activity areas, you can easily reach all the locations by local transportation.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 2015, a cooperative community where about people with various backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who wants to learn farming, just want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Tokyo, Nagano and Hokkaido and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way with utilizing bacterium and charcoal. Tateya Farm has 40 members and NICE started LMTV projects here since 2014. NICE also organizes workcamps and LMTV projects in Maki and Shintoku farms of Kyodo Gakusha.Outcome of this workcamp: In 2020, 6 vols. from Japan greatly contributed to harvest rice which was difficult to finish by the time they needed without volunteers There was also nice exchange between Community people and vols. through Yoga and Mindfulness. TRAVAIL

Volunteers will help their organic farm (harvesting/ threshing rice, planting vegetables, taking care of animals, etc.) and their house work especially cooking. Volunteers will also carry the things in the mountain to the Maki farm and harvest rice there. Be ready to work for quite a long time (05:30-18:00 with some brakes) and hard. It d be surely good exercise to make your body more healthy

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Shared room in the building for the volunteers and a few members, 5 min. walk from the farm. Meals will be cooked by volunteers together with the community people by turns. Sleeping bag is not necessary. There is limited Wifi.

Ikata is famous for its main industry of mandarins farming, but has been facing depopulation, lack of workers and aging society since most of young people leave the town. So, the number of abandoned mandarin farms is increasing and the town is losing its tradition, life, custom and scenery. KCG strongly hopes to host vols. to work together to animate the town and revive the farms.

Volunteers will help mandarin farming (It is the main work Harvesting, taking care of trees, cutting grass etc., it depend on season Especially, Nov. to April. is hard), support local youth club (If you have chance) and create new activities to animate the town.

SITUATION

In the edge of Sata Peninsula, surrounded by the sea, so fishing is also famous. There are only 30 houses in this community. The climate is relatively warm though it can be cold in winter.

We provide a well-balanced and healthy variety of food products that includes a wide variety of whole grains, seasonal fruits and amp; vegetables, pantry staples, dairy products, and vegetarian/vegan options.

SITUATION

Weekends are free, however, you will still need to be around. Try to plan activities with the volunteers. Usually, the excursions take place during the weekends. Excursions include unique Icelandic sights, such as waterfalls, volcanic and geothermal areas, glaciers, lava forests, hot springs, rhyolite mountain ranges, steam vents, or even icebergs.The areas around the houses are also great for hiking. If volunteers want to go for a hike, make sure one of the camp leaders joins them. Remind the volunteers to share their plans in advance.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

During the workcamps the leaders will share a double or quadruple room in a house fully equipped. Beds are provided, however, volunteers should bring their own warm sleeping bags. Food is provided and everyone is expected to do their fair share of the cooking and cleaning. We provide a well-balanced and healthy variety of food products that includes a wide variety of whole grains, seasonal fruits and amp; vegetables, pantry staples, dairy products, and vegetarian/vegan options.

SITUATION

Weekends are free, however, you will still need to be around. Try to plan activities with the volunteers. Usually, the excursions take place during the weekends. Excursions include unique Icelandic sights, such as waterfalls, volcanic and geothermal areas, glaciers, lava forests, hot springs, rhyolite mountain ranges, steam vents, or even icebergs.The areas around the houses are also great for hiking. If volunteers want to go for a hike, make sure one of the camp leaders joins them. Remind the volunteers to share their plans in advance.

Volunteers will stay at a rent house/apartment near by CYA office so they can access to the office by walk. Food will be provided at a restaurant in the area while sometimes volunteers will eat by themselves.
