PARTENAIRE
SEEDS programme combines learning, sharing and hands-on activities. Alongside the workshops, participants will discover Reykjavik, learn about Icelandic culture and enjoy the city s unique surroundings through organised activities and optional excursions. Participants should be prepared to present environmental issues from their own countries and to spend time outdoors, including walks of up to 1.5 hours during activities and sightseeing.Note this project is a learning/sharing camp and not a standard workcamp. This project has a smaller volunteer work part and places a greater emphasis on the personal learning process than on the community impact.
TRAVAIL
During this camp, participants will explore global and local environmental issues while developing their photography skills. If you are interested in climate change, sustainability and waste management, and enjoy photography, this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help consumers and travellers better understand the environmental impact of their choices. You will visit local environmental and conservation projects, which may include hands-on activities or guided visits, such as outdoor cleanup tasks, nature exhibitions or Icelandic museums. Some of these activities are dependent on weather conditions, as on the availability of our partners.You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice while exploring the city. Through practical exercises and workshops, participants will improve both the artistic and technical aspects of photography, including composition, storytelling and photographing nature and urban environments.Photography will be used not only as a creative skill, but also as a way to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage participants to reflect on the relationship between people and nature.At the end of the camp, participants will select their favourite photographs for an online exhibition at SEEDS social media channels. Participants should bring their digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.SEEDS will organise a night photography workshop combined with an aurora hunting excursion in the city. Northern lights are a natural phenomenon depending on solar activity and meteorological conditions, so we cannot guarantee you will see northern lights, but the night photography workshop will be organised anyway.
LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE
SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. Participants will sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people so everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel. Participants will receive food ingredients and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Please note that food provided by SEEDS will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some vegetarian traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

Some excursions (e.g. to the Golden Circle, Hot River Hike and/or South Shore) can be arranged at discount fares if there is free time after the camp workshops/sessions.It can be very cold, windy and rainy, so we recommend bringing warm, waterproof clothing (thermal layers, a winter jacket, scarf, hat and gloves) and sturdy walking shoes, as some of the activities take place outdoors.

The volunteers will stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag.
SITUATION
This campaign will take place in Tarakeshwor Municipality, located just 10-15 km from Kathmandu. The area is surrounded by beautiful hills, fields, and forests, offering a peaceful backdrop for engaging with the local community.

The Tuburan Coffee Farm Association works with smallholder farmers to cultivate high-quality coffee, primarily the Robusta variety, which thrives in Tuburan s climate and soil. The association provides technical support, training and access to modern farming equipment to improve farming practices. Additionally, TCFA focuses on building a cooperative model where farmers collectively manage resources and share the benefits of increased productivity and access to larger markets. The project emphasizes creating a sustainable value chain that includes production, processing and marketing.
