Nepal is prone and exposed to various types ofnatural disasters due to her rugged and fragilegeophysical structure, very high peaks, andhigh angle of slopes, complex geology, variableclimatic conditions and active tectonicprocesses. Unplanned settlement, increasingpopulation, weak economic condition and lowliteracy rate, the lack of coordination amongagencies related to disaster management,resourceconstraint, the lack of technical manpower, the lack of public awareness, very remote, ruraland difficult geo-physical situation of the country, absence of modern technology are majorobstacles to cope with these natural disasters in Nepal. This project involves establishing thedisaster risks in the marginalized communities.

TRAVAIL

Conduct a baseline survey and research about the risks, hazards and likelihood ofdisasters.- Liaison with local authorities and committees to present the work and help them to puttogether a plan and education sessions.

VIN currently has 20 staff members over two offices, one in Kathmandu and another one inOkhaldhunga. Our projects also vary depending on the local needs.We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Volunteer who can help our programmanager with our monitoring and evaluation systems, facilitate workshops to develop staff inproject management cycles and providing expertise in organising projects strategically andlogically. Weneed volunteerswho can help us maintain the plants and the gardenwhich includes plantingshrubs, trees and flowers but also a vegetable garden. Yourresponsibility of a Gardener is tomaintain the beauty of plants, outdoor grounds, and trees in a garden. You will perform arange of general maintenance tasks including designing, producing, renewing andpreserving outside spaces.

TRAVAIL

– Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements andexpectations.- Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weedcontrol and leaf raking.- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.- Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litterfromthe garden and grounds.- Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.- Ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors by adhering to safety and healthregulations.

Jeunesse et Reconstruction (JR) est une association loi 1901 creee en 1948. A l origine, JR organisait des chantiers pour rassembler des jeunes benevoles europeens afin de retisser les liens entre des peuples autrefois ennemis.Aujourd hui, l objectif principal est de favoriser les echanges interculturels a travers un engagement volontaire dans un esprit de tolerance, de respect et de fraternite. JR participe au developpent d echanges internationaux de jeunes a travers la mise en place de ses activites. Il s agit de donner a des jeunes de cultures differentes l opportunite de se rencontrer dans un environnement inconnu en contact avec la population locale. Ils peuvent ainsi decouvrir leurs differences et leurs points communs, apprendre a vivre et a travailler ensemble en mettant leur energie au service de la collectivite. JR propose differents programmes de volontariat (court, moyen et long terme) a travers son reseau de partenaires.

TRAVAIL

Un(e) volontaire sera accueilli pour 7 mois au sein de notre delegation dromoise.Les activites realisees par le/la volontaire pendant sa mission seront les suivantes:- Observation et recherche concernant les differentes sortes de jeux, les pedagogies et le recensement de jeux pouvant servir de support a la rencontre interculturelle- Transmission de ces outils aupres de nos membres, de nos encadrants d activite (formations/ session d informations)- Transmission aupres des personnes engagees sur nos chantiers internationaux: benevoles etrangers et francais, acteurs partenaires (mission locale, groupe de jeunes locaux…)- Rencontre de jeunes volontaires francais et etrangers pour analyser et comprendre les freins au jeu ressentis par certains- Organisation d evenements lies au Jeu et a la rencontre interculturelle: rencontre, ateliers, soiree a theme…- Cocreation de jeux : chasse au tresor, escape game, Grand Jeu…. qui pourront etre reutilises comme support pour sensibiliser a la comprehension entre differentes cultures- Promotion du volontariat et du dispositif CES a travers ces rencontres et evenements- Redaction d une annexe a notre livret Animateur(trice) de chantier pour transmettre des jeux supports, avec les regles et les mises en place.

Vous serez heberge(e) sur place a la Chapelle des Penitents Blancs, dans une chambre partagee. Vous aurez acces a un espace cuisine pour preparer vos repas et a une salle de bain. Un acces Wi-Fi et un ordinateur vous seront mis a disposition, ainsi qu un lave-linge.Ce projet est realise dans le cadre du Corps Europeen de Solidarite. TRAVAIL

Vous travaillerez avec un tuteur disponible et present qui vous guidera dans vos missions. Vous aurez le temps de decouvrir notre organisation, son fonctionnement et ses activites afin d obtenir une meilleure integration socio-linguistique. Au cours de la premiere partie de la mission, vous effectuerez une analyse des pratiques : en observant notre facon de travailler, nos contraintes, et en interrogeant nos employes et nos membres actifs. Vous ferez aussi des recherches sur le theme de la protection de l environnement, y compris les mesures politiques sur la transition ecologique. Vous nous aiderez a ecrire un guide des bonnes pratiques au sein de notre organisation, afin de donner des outils simples pour reduire notre empreinte ecologique. For too long now Nepal seducational system has neglected the specialneeds of these people who end up dropping outof school due to the lack of attention to them. Itis an incredibly fulfilling experience to help thosethat need it most [Due to school holidays theseprojects willremain closed during the months January and sometimes in April, July and October. You areencouraged to take part in the winter campsin January. There are also other VIN projects.

The Children s Center at CLC attempts to makelearning fun for children. It will cater to children 5to 8. In the center, we have basic children sbooks, games, coloring books, crayons availablewhich will help kids with learning and exploringtheir innate intelligence and creativity. It has alsoaudio visual materials like television, speakersavailable for the children. You may also collectand bring some resources with you. As avolunteer, you will be able to organize a variety ofevents activities for children.
