CYA have been working with TFC since 2012 to support theirinitiative and through our cooperation in 2014, TFC became a popular eco – tourism site receivinghundreds of tourists every weeks. TFC is a successful project because of the strong support ofour volunteers and as usual volunteers are still in needs to work hand in hand with local people insupporting its growth and to make sure local people will keep TFC cleans and more mangrovesare plants and nursing.

Organize workshops with local people to promote the understanding of mangrovesforest to people lives and collect mangrove seeds, seedling, and planting mangroves inTFC protected area while maintaining the planted mangroves.

LOGEMENT & NOURRITURE

Volunteer will stay together in share bungalows at community center that CYA rents.The basic meals in Cambodian dishes will be cooked by volunteers in daily shift.

After 4 years of progress, we are now transforming CYA – Learning Center (CLC) into theCenter for Sustainable Development (CSD) where we will expand our work from educationinto community development. Of course, weare continuing to improve our education program for local children and teenagers. We willinclude computers, arts, and music into its existing English classes. CSD is located in a remotearea of Kampot province. It takes about 2 hours 30 minutes from Phnom Penh. We are lookingforward to working with you and your volunteers

We live in the middle of a conservation area with hiking and biking trails, waterfalls and a pristine river to can and kayak. TRAVAIL

Volunteers will assist in a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Assisting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily living activities in the home and managing crews in workplaces such as gardening, farming, cooking, food preserving, cleaning, woodworking, weaving, baking, or arts. The type of work and number of hours varies but is usually 5 ( 10 hours per day. At least 5 hours per day will be spent in the workplace and another 3-5 hours per day in the home. Volunteers live on site and participate in all house activities including meals and all outside activities. Coworker position requires a confident individual who will be active in the homelife with others. This includes adults who have a range of abilities. Their primary function will be to make some common meals at home, clean common spaces, assist housemates when needed and participate in activities within the village. Some housemates may need help with bathing, oral hygiene, and other daily living activities. Coworkers will have workplaces to attend during the day.

Volunteers (Coworkers) will live together family style in homes within the community. Each person has their own bedroom. All meals, hot showers, toiletries, linens and amp; towels are provided. There is a fleet of vehicles that each person with a drivers license is welcome to use.

SITUATION

The project takes place in Lessive, a village in the Famenne area in Belgium. This is a beautiful village located in the countryside. The school is located near a forest, some paths and a river. This village is very active and all generations live there. The school is located about 5 kilometers from Rochefort, the nearest town. You can have a nice walk or ride a bike or a horse in the countryside. The cultural center des Roches offers many shows. You can also visit the Han caves (Grottes de Han) and animal park in Lesse. The Petit Theatre de la grande Vie offers some activities, music and art lessons and shows to everybody. There are several projects and local initiatives too.
